Inclusion in "Keep It 100" at On Center Gallery in June 2018

I'm pleased to share that I have been invited to exhibit during the annual International Encaustic Conference in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Provincetown has garnered national attention for its history as an art colony. The theme of the show is a play on words about keeping it real -- featuring what's fresh, happening and exciting in the world of contemporary artists incorporating encaustic and cold wax into their practice.

Discover the ancient technique of encaustic painting! Made of beeswax, damar resin and pigment, it is recognized for its luminous layering capacity to build rich surfaces. Eight artists working in a diverse manner but with encaustic as a unifying material explore the idea of what is and what is not, what remains and what is lost. For some of them this is a metaphor, and for others it is the basis of their practice. This show will be curated by Martha Pfanschmidt.
